Dr Sadeg Bashir Elsadeg Jermy is a highly skilled urologist with extensive experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors across Southern Africa. He specialises in endourology, uro-oncology, paediatric urology, and reconstructive urology, with a strong focus on providing expert surgical care.
Dr Jermy began his medical career in Libya, earning his MBBCh from the University of Zawia before completing his clinical internship at Tripoli Central Hospital, Tripoli Medical Center, and Zawia Teaching Hospital. His passion for urology led him to South Africa, where he pursued specialist training at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completing a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Urology and earning a Fellowship from the College of Urologists of South Africa.
Over the years, Dr Jermy has gained valuable experience at leading medical institutions, including Grey’s Hospital in Pietermaritzburg, Edendale Hospital, and Rundu Private Hospital in Namibia. His expertise covers a broad range of urological procedures, from minimally invasive endourology to complex oncological and reconstructive surgeries. He has performed over 1,300 cases as a primary or first-assistant surgeon.
Currently, Dr Jermy serves as a visiting urologist at Welwitschia Hospital, where he offers specialised urological care.
